Experienced solar electric system designer and trained Solar Water Heating installer, Mr. Treiber began his career in Sustainable Agriculture managing mid-size dairy and beef operations in Germany and Manitoba. With this experience providing a solid background of management and Mechanical Systems design and maintenance, Mr. Treiber moved to sales and service of high quality farm equipment, high efficiency heating equipment and systems design of high performance multi-fuel vehicles.

The Northern Lights Sustainability Alliance is in the process of acquiring and developing a 10 acre property adjacent to the Trans Canadian Highway in scenic Thunder Bay, Canada, just outside of the city limits of Wabigoon.

The site will be equiped with a 200 kW solar array that will supply about 220 MWhr yearly of clean, renewable electrical solar energy into the the Canadian grid, under the Ontario Energy Autonomy plan developed following the guidelines of the late Dr. Hermann Scheer, Germany's solar energy architect.

The Northern Lights Sustainability Alliance will bring much needed support to the local First Nations communities to further develop their self-reliance, autonomy, jobs and education, while maintaining their long time traditions of respect for the environment and Mother Earth.

The mission of the Northern Lights Sustainability Alliance is to establish a World-Class Sustainability Center in the Thunder Bay, Canada area to foster the design, architecture and engineering of state-of-the-art sustainable, renewable, solar energy powered, organic food producing, and non-toxic built environment, homes, residences, offices, buildings, schools, cities and communities that are economical, safe to live in, long lived, low maintenance, use the smallest amount of energy and resources both for construction and life supporting service, produce their own energy and recycle their own waste, human waste included, collect and recycle water, sustainable microfinance, while creating local jobs, all working in balance and harmony with the natural environment: air, water, soil and light.

To develop and promote all aspects of sustainable living within the collaborative and all associates and sub-contractors.

To address the UN Millennium Development Goals of the United Nations and the Unesco to eradicate poverty worldwide and provide clean water, organic food, clean air and affordable shelter to the world population.

To develop concrete and long term viable engineering, architectural and technological solutions for the most pressing problems the world and the planet population faces today, and how to address them in a way that gives the biosystems and regenerative systems of the world - air, water, soil, food, forests, oceans, animals and plants - a much deserved break. Humans depend vitally on all these systems, as we produce nothing, consume only.

We envision that if we consider this approach, we hope to see the world we wish for for ours and the world human populations in education, industry, social and economical justice and its policies. Setting up and guiding entrepreneurs that can accomplish all of these tasks is one task, the significant other aspect is education, both must go hand-in- hand with the sustainable entrepreneurial spirit.

The Northern Lights Sustainability Alliance further aims to develop:

• Zero Energy Homes

• Ecotours

• Organic Hemp Farm

• Energy/Sustainability Incubators & Startups

• Sustainability Education School

• Solar Energy, Wind, Solar Domestic Hot Water Training Facilities

• Sustainability Research Center

• Organic Agriculture Center
